A bit outside the Old City in a neighborhood called Altenstadt, this family-run Gasthaus offers atmosphere and food more typical of that in the countryside. The tables are elegantly set, and you can expect such regional fare as schnitzel, beef fillet, or perch from Lake Constance, all served with delicate sauces and a fine touch. They bake their own bread, and serve wine from their own vineyard. When weather permits, request a table in the charming garden.
