Location is this hotel's trump card: it's close to the cathedral. As in most branches of this no-frills chain, rooms have cookie-cutter modern décor and requisite amenities. This Ibis has a dependable level of service and comfort, but lacks local character. Triples are available. There's another branch, Ibis Gent Centrum Opera, close to the Flemish Opera building; some of its rooms are a tad cheaper.
