Pucic Palace Review
In the heart of the Old Town, occupying a beautifully restored 18th-century baroque palace, this small luxury boutique hotel offers the sort of aristocratic delights that its location suggests: rooms with dark oak parquet floors and wood-beam ceilings, antique furnishings, and Italian mosaic-tile bathrooms supplied with Bulgari toiletries. Fine wining and dining are also possible here, with the Defne restaurant serving eastern Mediterranean cuisine on a romantic upper-level terrace lined with potted lemon trees. The ground-floor Café Royal is a popular meeting point for morning coffee and pastries, with tables outside on the piazza on warm days. In the evening, head for the adjoining Razonoda wine bar, where you can sample some of Croatia's most sought-after wines and spirits.
