Car Travel
While visiting Dubrovnik and the nearby islands of Mljet and Korcula, you are certainly better off without a car. However, as the city is not linked to the rest of Croatia by train, you may wish to rent a car if you are traveling on to Split or Zagreb, rather than taking the plane or bus. A car can also be handy if you wish to drive up to Medugorje, Mostar, or Sarajevo, in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
