This restaurant is the place to go for the most mouthwatering homemade pasta dishes you can imagine, not least fuzi with wild arugula and prosciutto in cream sauce, which is simply unforgettable. The outer of two small rooms features bizarre but fantastic wall art by sculptor/painter Lilia Batel: 3-D reliefs with sponge-based puppets caricaturing real locals as they gaze out their windows, sit at the bar, and so on. The inner room, with its six tables and framed family-style photographs, is positively homey. Though there's no English-language menu, navigating the Italian and German menus isn't at all hard, and the staff, including the friendly owner, Svjetlana Celija, can help you in English. In the summer, be sure to make a reservation for dinner.
