On the road between Zagreb and Sljeme, Stari Puntijar is renowned for game and traditional 19th-century Zagreb dishes such as podolac (ox medallions in cream and saffron), orehnjaca (walnut loaf), and makovnjaca (poppy-seed cake). The wine list is excellent, and the interior design is marked by trophies, hunting weapons, old paintings, and big chandeliers.
