If you want to spend more than a half-day in Samobor, you could do much worse than this elegant and pleasant hotel right on the main square. Although the rooms vary in size, they're all spacious, and the pine floors impart a soothing scent while the silky bedspreads and golden-framed mirrors help create a luxurious historical ambience. Some rooms have showers only. Downstairs is a splendid and spacious, if smoky, café.
