The zenith of riverside dining is offered at this legendary restaurant just off Charles Bridge, known almost as much for its chic decor and celebrity guests as it is for elegant Continental cuisine and great wines -- it's the kind of place where European royals and heads-of-state mingle with their head-of-studio counterparts from Hollywood. But the real star power arrives on the plate, courtesy of chef Marek Raditsch, whose sophisticated cooking blends seasonal ingredients with worldly culinary technique: halibut and foie gras with bean ragout, monkfish with port-glazed sweetbreads, venison with turnip fondant and figs. Incredible foods, incredible views.

Granted service is good, but it had better be with the prices they charge. A slight to us for not researching Prague restaurants in detail and not realizing Kampa Park is a huge celebrity venue. Not that we saw anyone famous when we dined there, but the prices reflect this fact.
Honestly two scallops (appetizer) costing 20 euro was highway robbery. Wine is very much marked up and cost us 60 euro for a bottle of ordinary Australian wine. And this was one of the cheapest choices on their wine list.
Pepper steak was fine, but again the price was very pricey for what it was.
We sat in the glassed in dining area next to the small river. It was nice but not exceptional and neither was the main dining area next to the entrance.
All in all it was too pricey (219 euro for two of us including wine-no coffee and desserts). Also our server reminded us that there is no tip line showing on the charge slip and service is not included so if we wanted to tip please to give cash!

I didn't know how bad venison could be prepared until I ordered it at Kampa Park. I had a serviceable salad and an intersting roast pear dessert but the entree was entirely inedible--tough, gamey, and totally unappetizing. So disappointed. Views schmiews if the food is bad then you've failed in your primary job as a restaurant.
