Sofitel Copenhagen Plaza

$$-$$$$, Vesterbro

User Rating: ** 2.4

Fodor's Review:

With its convenient location and plush homey atmosphere, this hotel has attracted the likes of Tina Turner and Keith Richards. Close to Tivoli and the main station, the building puts its best foot forward with a stately lobby and the adjacent Plaza Restaurant, which serves haute French-Italian cuisine. The older rooms are scattered with antiques; newer ones are furnished in a more modern style. The Library Bar is an elegantly cozy and atmospheric place for a drink, but the prices can be staggeringly high.

Disappointed

Posted by Karen from Singapore on 12/27/05

We were disappointed with the hotel. The hotel looks old from the outside and inside the lobby was small with an old fashioned lift that is so inconvenient esp when you have big luggage. Breakfast was not included in price and at 135 korner was expensive considering the spread was pathetic. Toiletries ( bath gel, shampoo) were not replenished and we have to ask for it. We have asked for extra beds for the children and one of the bed was a spring roll away which was very flimsy and uncomfortable as it kept sagging in the middle. At the price we paid, it is utterly disappointing.
