Denmark's general emergency number is 112. Emergency dentists, near Østerport Station, are available weekdays 8 PM-9:30 PM and weekends and holidays 10-noon. The only acceptable payment method is cash. Dr. Jesper Nygart, who speaks several languages and has an office behind the D'Angleterre Hotel, is listed as a Doctor on Call in Copenhagen This Week. For emergency doctors, look in the phone book under læge. After normal business hours, emergency doctors make house calls in the city center and accept cash only; night fees are a minimum of DKr 300-DKr 400. You can also contact the U.S., Canadian, or British embassies for information on English-speaking doctors.
