Wild Duck Inn

Wild Duck Inn Review

The deep-red dining room of this Elizabethan inn has an abundance of wood beams and oil portraits. Steaks and fresh fish are strong suits on the frequently changing menu—including organic meat from Prince Charles's nearby Highgrove Estate—and there are some tasty vegetarian choices, as well as an impressive wine list. The garden is pleasant for alfresco dining. Upstairs are a dozen small but comfortable guest rooms, individually styled and with handmade black lacquered four-posters. The inn is 3 miles southwest of Cirencester.
