Intimate galleries on three floors display ancient and modern pieces, mostly from China but with other exhibits from Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia. Highlights are a graphic 19th-century watercolor depicting the Chinese idea of hell, Chinese ivory figures, Buddhist objects, and Japanese lacquerware and prints.
