Set in the Met, a so-hip-it-hurts hotel, soccer stars and models haunt London's top celebrity hangout and pay silly money for new-style sashimi with Peruvian flair, like yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño. For warm dishes, the miso-marinated black cod and rock-shrimp tempura are excellent. A spin off, Nobu Berkeley, thrives nearby, as does Ubon ("Nobu" backwards), in Canary Wharf.

Love it at Berkeley. Reservations can be hard leading up to the date but found mine with others on ebay. Great food, best Japanese in London.
