This canteen-style open-kitchen Italian restaurant sets the standard with its simple roasts, fresh salads, and char-grilled meats. Celebrated chefs Rose Gray and Ruth Rogers source ultra-fresh, impeccable seasonal ingredients, so expect crab with bruschetta, pumpkin and ricotta ravioli, and papardalle with wild duck ragù -- plus one of London's highest checks. Remember: if you snag an evening table, this is in distant Hammersmith. You may be stranded if you haven't booked a cab. Note that tables clear out by 11 PM.
