The Orange

The Orange Review

Four-square and handsome, this debs-delight Pimlico gastropub (with upstairs guest rooms) seems to get everything right, which is why it's packed with braying locals most nights and seemingly all weekend. The stage is set—light and airy, with stripped wood, a tony ochra color-scheme, and mini-potted orange trees—for service that is noticeably smiley, polite, and (dare we say it?) well-mannered. You can't go wrong with the chicken liver parfait, Trealy Farm cured meat platters, and the wood-fired spelt-based pizzas, or alternatively enjoy a leisurely Sunday roast like 28-day Castle of Mey beef rib, Kilravock pork rack, or Suffolk chicken with sage and bacon stuffing, all served with crispy duck-fat roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and traditional Yorkshire puddings.
