Bars, Chelsea
Fodor's Review:
Named after a hero of the Napoleonic Wars, this rustic bar in a former market district was once the most popular meeting place for the upwardly mobile of Sloane Square (Lady Diana Spencer is said to have been a regular in her teaching days). The "Admiral Cod," as it's known, has recently been refurbished and now houses a modern courtyard with a removable glass roof, where excellent English fare is served at lunch and dinnertime; the adjoining original pub with its bare floorboards remains a popular spot with "Sloane Rangers."
