Marks & Spencer Review

You'd be hard-pressed to find a Brit who doesn't have something in the closet from Marks & Spencer (or "M&S," as it's affectionately known). This major chain is known for its classic, dependable clothing for men, women, and children—affordable cashmere and lambswool sweaters are particularly good buys—and occasionally scores a fashion hit with its Per Una and Autograph lines. The food department at M&S is consistently superb, especially for frozen food, and a great place to pick up a sandwich or premade salad on the go (look for M&S Simply Food stores all over town.) The flagship branch at Marble Arch and the Pantheon location at 173 Oxford Street have extensive fashion departments.

    Marks & Spencer Review

You can find many services all over England with M&S Simply Food. Sure beats rest stops in the States w/ their McD's. The Prawn & Mayo sandwich stands out. Others in the same price & availability range _simply_ do not come close (looking at you Pret a Manger) and can make you want to wash the taste out of your mouth.
