Hadrian's Wall

Hiking

Hadrian's Wall Path. One of Britain's national trails, Hadrian's Wall Path runs the entire 73-mile length of the wall. If you don't have time for it all, take one of the less-challenging circular routes. One of the most scenic but also most challenging sections is the 12-mile western stretch between Sewingshields and Greenhead. 01434/322022. www.nationaltrail.co.uk/hadrianswall.
