Alexander Keiller Museum

Alexander Keiller Museum Review

Archaeological finds from the Avebury area, and charts, photos, models, and home movies taken by archaeologist Alexander Keiller himself, put the Avebury Stone Circles and the site into context. Recent revelations suggest that Keiller, responsible for the excavation of Avebury in the 1930s, may have adapted the site's layout more in the interests of presentation than authenticity. The exhibits are divided between the Stables Gallery, showing excavated finds, and the more child-friendly, interactive Barn Gallery.
