Thames Valley Restaurants

Gee's Review

With its glass-and-steel framework, this former florist's shop just north of the town center makes a charming conservatory dining room. The constantly changing menu features locally raised meats and vegetables in modern versions of traditional English dishes, such as slow-cooked beef with creamed leeks or lemon-coriander lamb with chickpeas. Whisky and marmalade steamed pudding and apple sorbet make fine desserts.
