Bus Travel

National Express buses leave London's Victoria Coach Station for Bristol (2½ hours), Exeter (4-5 hours), Plymouth (5½ hours), and Penzance (8-9 hours). Megabus (book online to avoid premium-line costs) offers cheap service to Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, Newquay, and Penzance. There's also a good network of regional bus services. First has service to Somerset, Devon, and Cornwall, and Stagecoach South West covers mainly south Devon and the north Devon coast. Western Greyhound operates mostly in North Cornwall. First and Stagecoach South West's money-saving one- and seven-day passes are good for unlimited bus travel. Traveline can help you plan your trip.
