Getting to England
Getting to England
You can arrive in England by plane, train, or boat, and there are many places to disembark. Most international flights arrive at either London's Heathrow Airport (LHR) or at Gatwick Airport (LGW). A third, much smaller airport, Stansted (STN), handles mainly European and domestic traffic, as does Luton Airport (LLA). These airports have good train and bus options for getting into London.
Manchester (MAN) in northwest England handles some flights from the United States, as does Birmingham (BHX) in the Midlands. Most people fly into London, but other airports can be useful.
