This cozy little family-run hotel by the city walls, near the Dolder belfry, blends modern comforts with bare-stone walls, dark-timber ceilings, and a dining room that serves up firelit romance as well as delicious cuisine; the top-floor duplex suite is an exceptional value. Specialties at the time-burnished restaurant include fine foie gras, frog legs in garlic cream, and roasted partridge with cabbage frisée (it's closed Monday and does not serve dinner Sunday or lunch Tuesday).
