Villa Mon Rêve Review
This cozy restaurant, with cream-colored walls, is in delightful parkland off the D751 east of Nantes. Longtime chef Gérard Ryngel has retired, but the elegantly inventive regional fare continues under the stewardship of new owners M. and Mme. Ponchelle. Try the pike-perch in Anjou red-wine sauce, or the frogs' legs in Gros Plant white-wine sauce, with which you can sample one of more than 50 varieties of Muscadet, the local white wine. The lunchtime, prix-fixe menus (€28) are good value. Request a table on the terrace when you reserve.
