About 3 km (2 mi) out of Nuits-St-Georges, on the way toward Meuilley, this fabulous little inn serves local fare at tasty prices. A lunch menu available on weekdays includes wine and coffee. Dinner menus include six garlicky snails, followed by coq au vin or entrecôte enlivened with a tongue-tantalizing Epoisses sauce, cheese, and dessert. It's especially pleasant to sit in the courtyard under the ancient trees, though on chilly, gray days the small dining room is full of good cheer.
