Épernay is short on good hotels, so it's worth driving south to Vinay and booking into this luxurious manor, which has spacious accommodations, wonderful gardens, an indoor pool, plus a well-equipped spa. The guest rooms are individually decorated in lilac, blue floral, yellow and chocolate, all with carpeting; ask for one overlooking the extensive gardens. At the hotel restaurant Michael Nizzero, a young internationally-trained chef, adds an inventive touch to a menu of regional cuisine.
