Hôtel du Théâtre Review

Location, simple but clean rooms, and reasonable prices—along with a friendly and enthusiastic owner—make this a recommendable address; the guest rooms not only have theatrical views overlooking Place des Célestins, some also have bathrooms with tubs (some have showers only). Breakfast is included.

    Hôtel du Théâtre Review

    The location was wonderful--we had a room overlooking the Theatre--and I don't know if we ever met the owner so I can't comment on that. I do know that I didn't appreciate the eye-rolling on the part of some of the desk clerks when I trotted out my French. They didn't have much to do most of the day other than sitting there looking bored so I don't see why they couldn't spend a minute or two extra trying to understand my intermediate level French or rephrasing their comments in a way I could understand. On the other hand, the maid was by far the hardest working person in the place and was excellent.
