When Matthieu Viannay moved to his new restaurant La Mère Brazier, his former gastronomical sanctuary in the upper Brotteaux district east of the Rhône became a creative but relaxed and non-wallet-busting bistro under the direction of former Léon de Lyon chef Julien Gautier. Market cuisine, new good-value wines, plus sleek contemporary design and cuisine are the rules of thumb at this popular place on a well-known culinary corner.
