Au Petit Colombier. This is a perennial favorite among Parisians, who come to eat comforting cuisine bourgeoise (traditional cuisine) in the warm dining rooms accented with wood and bright copper. Seasonal specialties include milk-fed lamb chop en cocotte (in a small enameled casserole), game in all its guises, and truffles. Order the set menu for EUR 38 or blow your budget à la carte. There is a seafood annex, Au Petit Colombier Côté Mer, next door. Service is friendly and unpretentious.
