Paris Nightlife

La Pagode

La Pagode Review

La Pagode—where else but Paris would you find movies screened in an antique pagoda? A Far Eastern fantasy, this structure was built in 1896 as a ballroom for the wife of the owner of Le Bon Marché department store. In the 1970s it was slated for demolition but saved by a grassroots wave of support spearheaded by director Louis Malle. Though the fare is standard, the surroundings are enchanting. Come early for tea in the garden (summer only).
