Chloé made a canny move in May 2011 when it tapped Clare Waight Keller to step up to the helm. Keller cut her teeth under Tom Ford at Gucci, but her most recent coup was to inject the century-old knitwear house, Pringle, with a much-needed dose of modernism. Keller's debut Spring 2012 was a triumph of the kind of flowing, feminine silhouettes the luxury house is known for but with a twist—a voluminous charmeuse skirt cut thigh-high; a transparent flapperesque silk dress over teeny silk shorts.
