La Gaîté Lyrique Review
La Gaîté Lyrique, one of Paris's newest contemporary art venues, brings together innovative exhibits with live musical performances and a multimedia space that features a library, movies, and free video games. Think of it as a smaller, more interactive Centre Pompidou. Housed in a 19th-century theater—remnants of which are visible in the café upstairs—La Gaîté Lyrique occupies three floors. If you have a question or need more light, the gallery's curators can fix it via their iPads, which control the building's utilities. That's cutting edge for Paris.
