Fodor's Review:
A modern refitting of this mercantile building complements the original mosaic floor, tiled walls, and stairwells of stone, iron, and stuccowork. Rooms are rather basic, and the clientele is mostly European; for EUR 160-EUR 200, you can get one of the suites in the turret. The hotel's entranceway has an exhibit on the significant Jewish history of the area. Step outside to see nearby landmarks, including the late-20th-century Hackescher Markt train station, the TV tower (1969), and the 13th-century St. Marienkirche.
