Fodor's Review:
Sitting canal side on a deck chair at Freischwimmer is perfect for warm nights, but heat lamps and an enclosed section make a cozy setting on cool ones, too. To get here, walk five minutes south of the Schlesisches Tor subway station and turn left down a path after the 1920s gas station. It opens at 6 PM during the week in winter and at noon in warmer months. Year-round, weekends begin at 11 AM. There's another bar with a floating dock across the way.
