The city's new star, among the over-the-top luxury hotels, pampers its guests like royals with grand views of the Alster Lakes. The sleek but unassuming facade and high-tech interior (with 42-inch, flat plasma TVs in every room) might exude a rather cold flair, but the outstanding spa and wellness area (complete with an indoor lap pool) and the impeccable service make guests feel comfortably at ease. Don't miss a light French lunch or dinner in the rooftop restaurant Le Ciel: the view of the Alster and the illuminated skyline at night is unforgettable.
