Fodor's Review:
The "Sorcerer's Apprentice" is aptly named. In addition to their popular restaurant, Z-Bistro ($$-$$$$; no credit cards) -- with magical entertainment on Tischzauberei evenings (Tisch means "table"; Zauberei means "magic") -- Karen and Axel Heldmann have conjured up a small luxury hotel. Each room's decor is based on a theme (Asian, Mediterranean, Country Manor), and four have a private whirlpool. Innovative dishes, a three-course menu of organic products, and regional favorites are all part of the culinary lineup, enhanced by a very good wine list. Enjoy the terrace in summer, and end the evening with cigars and single malts.
