The climb is steep from the Altstadt to this hotel, next to the castle that towers over the town, but the reward is a lovely view from the windows and terrace. Proprietor Herbert Rösch is an expert on Maultaschen. In his restaurant ($-$$), 28 versions of "Swabian tortellini" are on the menu, together with other regional dishes and wines from Württemberg. The hotel can help you with parking, or with a ride to the airport.

Better than we dreamed it would be! Beautiful surroundings, lovely room (lots of stairs!), delicious meals (especially breakfast), very clean and personnel was extremely friendly. Picturesque village and town square nearby and within walking distance.
