Black Forest Sights

Staatliche Kunsthalle (State Art Gallery)

Staatliche Kunsthalle (State Art Gallery) Review

One of the most important collections of paintings in the Black Forest region hangs in the Staatliche Kunsthalle. Look for masterpieces by Grünewald, Holbein, Rembrandt, and Monet, and also for work by the Black Forest painter Hans Thoma. In the Kunsthalle Orangerie, next door, is work by such modern artists as Braque and Beckmann.
