An ancient pot steams in the aromatic, farmhouse-style kitchen, and simple, hearty fare prevails. Proprietor Karl-Heinz Wolf is locally famous for his culinary prowess and the warm welcome he gives his guests. The half-timber restaurant is 5 km (3 mi) from the city center, in the Isernhagen District, but it's well worth seeking out.
