Pfalz and Rhine Terrace Sights

Jewish quarter Review

Speyer was an important medieval Jewish cultural center. In the Jewish quarter, behind the Palatinate Historical Museum, you can see synagogue remains from 1104 and Germany's oldest (circa 1126) ritual baths, the 33-foot-deep Mikwe. Note: Although the official address is Judengasse, the entrance is around the corner at Kleine Pfaffengasse 21.
