Schloss Vollrads Review

Built in 1211 Schloss Vollrads is the oldest of Germany's great private wine estates. The moat-surrounded tower (1330) was the Greiffenclau residence for 350 years until the present palace was built in the 17th century. There is a Vinothek, and the period rooms are open during concerts, festivals, and wine tastings. It lies 3 km (2 mi) north of town.
