Burg-Hotel Review

This exquisite little hotel abuts the town wall and was once part of a Rothenburg monastery. Most rooms have a view of the Tauber Valley. All have plush furnishings, with antiques or fine reproductions. There are also two family apartments available for rent that are separate from the hotel. Breakfast is served on the terrace on top of the town wall in good weather, affording a stunning wide-angle view into the Tauber Valley and the hills beyond. The owner and staff are gracious hosts. The Steinway Cellar holds a grand piano. A new addition to the hotel across the street is under construction and set to be complete by spring 2012. The addition will provide 15 more rooms with air-conditioning, an elevator, and a parking lot (fee).

    Burg-Hotel Review

Wife and I stayed October 2009. There could not be a better location to stay in Rothenburg! Fabulous breakfast room view of the Tauber valley makes you want to linger. Rooms large, quiet, and felt like home (tea in the room). 2 nights were festival nights and we slept peacefully only to hear from a friend the next morning who stayed closer in town she was awake all night to the noise of the festival. Highly recommend.
