Die Ecke Review

On an Ecke (corner) of the small square right behind Augsburg's town hall, the Ecke is valued for the imaginative variety of its cuisine and the scope of its wine list. In season, the venison dishes are among Bavaria's best. The fish, in particular the Zander (green pike) or the trout sautéed in butter and lightly dressed with herbs and lemon, is magnificent, and complemented nicely by the Riesling Gimmeldinger Meersspinne, the house wine for 40 years. In summer ask for a table on the patio.
