When to Go

Corfu enjoys a temperate climate, with a relatively long rainy season that lasts from late fall through early spring. Winter showers bring spring flowers, and the countryside goes into floral overdrive starting in April, when the air is perfumed with the heady fragrance of orange blossoms and jasmine and wildflowers carpet the hillsides. In May, the weather clears and starts to get warm enough for swimming. July and August are the hottest months and can also be humid. September is gloriously warm and dry, with warm evenings and the occasional cool breeze. Swimming is often possible through mid-October. Late September through late October are good for hiking and exploring the countryside.
