Erganos Review

One of Heraklion's most traditional restaurants—just outside the old city walls south of Eleftherias Square—takes its name from one of the cities of ancient Crete and serves authentic local fare, including mouthwatering little pies (pitarakia) filled with cheese and honey, wild herbs from the mountains, and ground meats. Lunch and dinner both are often accompanied by Cretan music, sometimes provided by a fellow patron.
