The fortified, seaside stronghold of the Mavromichali clan, noted for its role in Greek independence, is now an enchanting Mani getaway, a distinctive and intimate inn where handsome rooms and suites are clustered around sun-drenched terraces just above the turquoise waters of Limeni harbor, just north of Areopolis.
