The secret of this longtime favorite, one of the finest restaurants on Rhodes, is an elegant, perfect simplicity. Seemingly straightforward dishes, such as sea-urchin salad, fried manouri cheese with basil and pine nuts, swordfish in caper sauce, and lobster risotto, become transcendent with the magic touch of third-generation chef Dimitris Mavrikos, who now owns this 75-year-old family-run institution with his brother, Michalis. He combines the freshest ingredients with classical training and an abiding love for the best of Greek village cuisine. The meat dishes, including oven-baked lamb, are also sublime.
