Opened in 2006, well appointed, and family run, this complex of 20 units rooms is a five-minute walk north from the main (Theotokopoulou) square in Fira—and thus offers no caldera views—and below the main road to Ia. Because it only faces east, with a wide Aegean view that takes in ancient Thera and the sunrise, it is less expensive than it looks. The guest rooms, all with plasma TV, and spacious lobby are decorated in light beige tones with strong color accents. The large pool's terrace is paved with volcanic rock. Breakfast is extra; transfers to and from the airport are included if you inform the hotel 48 hours in advance. Owners Roussetos and Georgia Karamelogos are accommodating. Happily, there are no steps and there are low prices off-season. To get to the hotel, walk north (toward Ia) five minutes from the main (Theotokopoulou) square and turn right at the sign.
