Mavra Volia (Black Pebbles) Review

From Pirgi it's 8 km (5 mi) southeast to the glittering black volcanic beach near Emborio, known by locals as Mavra Volia. The cove is backed by jutting volcanic cliffs, the calm water's dark-blue color created by the deeply tinted seabed. Here perhaps was an inspiration for the "wine-dark sea" that Homer wrote about.
