Budapest Nightlife

BorBíróság (Wine Court)

BorBíróság (Wine Court) Review

Tucked behind the Vásárcsarnok (Central Market Hall) in downtown Budapest, this is among the best places in Budapest to sample a range of quality Hungarian wines, unless you are planning a visit to the wine regions yourself. It's not exactly your typical, working-class borozó and it's a bit pricey by Hungarian standards—a small glass of wine costs the equivalent of several dollars, on average. But the owners pride themselves on selecting the best 150 wines Hungary has to offer, and it's true. You can easily spend an entire afternoon or evening sampling different great wines here. It's open Monday to Thursday until 10 pm and Friday and Saturday till 11; Sunday's are dark.
